My Happy Mind

What is My Happy Mind?

My Happy Mind is a program designed to help children develop positive mental health habits, resilience, and emotional well-being. It is based on scientific research and provides children with the tools they need to understand their emotions, build confidence, and develop a growth mindset.

We believe that every child is called to grow in the light of Christ, developing the confidence and resilience to face life’s challenges with faith and positivity. Through My Happy Mind, children learn to nurture their well-being, strengthen their relationships, and develop a mindset that reflects the Gospel values of kindness, compassion, and gratitude.

How Does It Benefit My Child?

Through engaging lessons and activities, My Happy Mind helps children:
✅ Develop a positive self-image and recognise their God-given gifts.
✅ Learn how to manage emotions and build resilience in everyday life.
✅ Strengthen relationships through kindness, gratitude, and respect for others.
✅ Practice mindfulness and relaxation techniques to support their well-being.

What Does It Look Like in School?

Children take part in structured My Happy Mind sessions, which focus on key themes such as:
🧠 Meet Your Brain – Understanding how God has created our minds to learn and grow.
😊 Celebrate – Recognising and valuing our unique strengths and talents.
❤️ Appreciate – Encouraging gratitude and thankfulness in our daily lives.
💪 Relate – Building strong, positive relationships with others.
🌿 Engage – Practising mindfulness and relaxation to find peace in God’s presence.

How Can I Support My Child at Home?

Parents can access the My Happy Mind Parent App, which provides activities and resources to continue these lessons at home. Encouraging your child to share what they have learned, practising gratitude as a family, and taking moments to pause and reflect together can reinforce these important skills.

At St Chad's, we believe that nurturing children’s mental well-being is an essential part of their education and faith journey. Through My Happy Mind, we empower them to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually, embracing the gifts God has given them.
